How To Choose A Golf Glove
Golf gloves are an important accessory for any golfer.
Just like new golf grips, a solid grip on the club can help lower your score and handicap.
Golf gloves serve two
main purposes:
- Prevent you from getting blisters on your main gripping
hand.
- Increase grip on the club and prevent twisting during
the swing.
Choosing the right size: Golf gloves should fit quite tightly on your hand. A loose fitting glove will increase twisting/slipping in
your hand as you strike the ball. The new glove should therefore feel tight without feeling uncomfortable, as it will
loosen with use. Golf gloves usually come in 4 sizes for Men and Ladies. ie. xs, s, m, l.
Which
hand? For right handed players, the glove should be worn on the left hand. For left handed players, the glove
should be worn on the right hand.
Looking after your golf gloves: To
effectively lengthen the life of your golf gloves always place a golf ball in the glove and place it in an air tight plastic
bag. This will help them retain their shape and prevent them becoming dried out.
